Wednesday Weigh In

2.1 pounds down. If I had just shaved my head and eyebrows, I might have dropped another few ounces ...

  2. My eyebrows! Why didn't I think of that? My scale doesn't measure ounces,it just rounds off. I'm hoping it rounded up, because I'm up a pound. (sigh) I think it was all the stress eating this week.

  3. - 3 for me. That's pretty abnormal (for me) for 5 days, but I've been sick the past couple.

  4. Thanks, Linda!

Crystal, that's one advantage of the Weight Watchers digital scale. It shows ounces.

GO JAIME! Well, not the being sick part, but the losing weight part is great.

  5. I wish you all a lot of success. I'm lucky so far that I don't have a weight problem, but I'm sure it's out there waiting for me.

    THIN & SEXY! That's a good motto! :)

  6. Nothing for me. I didn't gain anything, but I haven't lost anything either. My scale shows about 7 pounds less, but it is water weight that shocked the hell out of me last Friday. And the fact that I weighed myself in the evening as opposed to in the AM. Anyway...I need my treadmill.

  9. I'm down an even 3. I've got a programmable Weight Watchers scale, too. (DH couldn't believe I was asking for a scale for Mother's day last year--LOL.)

Way to go Tech and Trixie!

Michelle, I can't imagine 7 lbs. of water weight, are you sure you didn't lose something? :)

Crystal, I hope it goes better for you dealing with the stress of trying to get moved. It prolly did round up, which is why I "retired" my last scale. :)

  11. Yay for all of us! Yay for having the courage to stick with the agreement to weigh today!

  12. LOL Frenzied have you ever seen my ankles? Unfortunately it runs in my family, as does the Thyroid issue. I made an appt to see a Dr. today, to get it under control. I have neglected to have it tested for the last 4 years because of not having health care. As of Jan 1...I do. I also used to take diuretics on a regular basis and haven't done those in at least that long as well. Thyroid can cause the water weight, so if one is under control it helps the other.

Anyway, I am certain i didn't lose anything. I merely back to where I had begun.

    Congrats to you and Trixie!

  13. Michelle, what thyroid issue? I have one, too.

Oh, and Jaime--sorry I missed your loss--way to go!! :)

  14. Are you on medication for it Frenzied? Mine tested very low about 4 years ago, but the Dr. at the time wouldn't prescribe me anything. Don't ask me why...

It is something that runs in my family and my Mom has just gotten hers under control. But only after years of mis-diagnosis. Anyway, I don't want it to be an excuse but I don't want it to be a hindrance either.

  15. Yep. I had a partial thyroidectomy when I was 18, and I'm taking Synthroid to replace it.

The reason I ask is, if your thyroid is low, and if Synthroid is what is prescribed for you, it's a VERY cheap drug. Aside of the occasional doctor visit and blood test, it wouldn't be much out of pocket expense even without insurance. I've been on the same dosage for 16 years, so I now only have to go in once a year.

    Just a thought... :)

  16. Thanks Frenzied, I was worried about the expense which is why I haven;t taken care of it. But I now have insurance, so I am getting myself, in order.
