Just an Intro Post

Hi. I'm sure you've seen my posts on Tech's site. I'm not really doing the Great Slim Down, per se. I wanted to let you know that I'm here more as a support person, at the moment. I have a lot of experience with losing weight successfully. But I haven't reached my goal. I've been living with my mom for a year and a half and she's got a lot of weird food and kitchen rules. It's impossible for me to follow any specific weight loss program while I'm living here. But after I'm back on my own, I plan to follow Weight Watchers again. Anyway, I'll be reading your posts and giving you the benefit of whatever I've learned that might help you all. I wish you the best. I hope to be able to join in before the end of the year.

Linda

Hi Mama Rose! Glad you joined us! I know I can always use support and suspect we're all like that.

Believe me when I tell you I understand the problems with being "not in charge" of the kitchen and especially "Mom's Rules." I had reached my goal weight for the first time as an adult when my mother's health started to fail. I have put on 50 pounds since I started caring for her, and through her death (which has now been six years ago.) I have NOT been able to get the weight back off during that time!

So I'm dealing with this issue NOW as my highest priority personal issue. Time for me to step out of that lingering sadness and be responsible for my own life, health, and happiness. I think this group of supportive cyber friends will make the difference for me.

Hi Mama Rose! Glad you're here.

I know I can use all the support I can get and will be grateful for any ideas, thoughts or anything else that will help get this weight off that you can give. :)

We can always use cheerleaders, Mama Rose. Thanks in advance for your advice! :)
