I just learned about a competing website to SparkPeople. If you're interested and want to read a comparison between the two, go here:

I tried a couple of years ago and didn't really like it. I'm giving SparkPeople a try. I'm using username Magellan60. If you decide to join this week, we'll be in the same "class."

I've been on Sparkpeople for a couple of years now. It's a good community of people. The tools are pretty good, too.

So far, I really like it. I've been journaling my eating since the beginning of the year. Posting it on SparkPeople has been useful for showing me WHERE in my day I'm screwing up.

I've done a great job during the day. I come home and eat a healthy meal, but each evening, I've done SOMETHING that puts me 700 calories over for the day.

In theory, this should be an easy fix. In reality, I'm sure it is an emotional reason for doing what I do, and I have to figure a way to combat that. This is something I can focus on, and I believe I can get my arms around it. I'm encouraged by this.
