Fountain of...

So, I have been a reading a bit on the benefits of water. How it helps with weight loss and what it truly contributes. My Dr. had some words of wisdom, and ultimately I figured, considering my own bodies needs and difficulties, it would be good for me. But that isn't to say it is helpful to all, and some really need to weigh the pros and cons of consuming extra water.

So here are some articles I found of interest. They seem to provide a good balance of information. I thought it would be best to read on your own and take your own needs into account.

Drinking Water and Weight Loss

Water Benefits?

And now if you'll excuse me, I have to visit the ladies room. Again. (Ya know, I think they should count the extra calories you burn just running to the bathroom more.)

Ha! Water does work as a weight loss tool for me, but I don't know why.

I getting pretty consistent at getting down 24 oz now. I think I'll up to 36 and see how it goes. Great articles, Michelle!

Yep, those extra calories running to the bathroom have got to make some sort of dent. If I'm at home, I try to use the master bathroom upstairs--extra points for those 13 stairs! :)

On the other hand, if I'm out running errands, it can be dangerous to need to make extra stops in stores. I might buy something while I'm there!

Hmmm.

LOL Frenzied.

Water is working for me too. Dr. said, it has to with my liver being able to metabolize the fat since my kidneys are functioning how they should with the added water.

All I can say is it's working!

Good news! I mis-counted my stairs! I have 16! Thirteen is the number I have to vacuum, I forgot to include the three wood ones at the bottom.

Yahoo! More work(ing out)! ;)

I didn't read the links, so I don't know if I'm repeating anything any of them said, but here's a couple of things you need to know about water. One, it is possible to drink too much. I've seen people in weight loss forums bragging about how much water they drink as if it's some contest where the most water wins or as if water is a magical elixer. It's not. What's important is to drink enough to stay hydrated.

Also, note if your food program is one where you're increasing your fiber intake, you need more water than if you're eating very little fiber.

Hope this is helpful. :)
